THE ARCHERY WORLD CUP

Since 2006 the international federation, World Archery (WA), has been sponsoring the Archery World Cup. The World Cup Tour is a culmination of up to four tournaments, ending with the World Cup Final. In 2017, the tournament venues will be hosted in Shanghai, Antalya, Salt Lake City and Berlin. The seven best archers, plus one representative archer from the hosting country of each discipline, qualify during the series of tournaments for the crowning finale. Up to 350 participants from 40 countries begin the competition in the two disciplines, Recurve- and Compound Archery.

LOCATION

The Qualifications: (09 – 11 August 2017)  The participating archers compete in several spectacular venues.  The athletes and the the spectators will experience the kick-off event at the ‘Maifeld’ of the Olympic Stadium. The entrance during the three days of the qualification, is free for all spectators. The ‘Maifeld’ in Berlin is a large artificial-turf sport field, located in the Berlin quarter of Charlottenburg, and next to the Olympic Stadium.  The 112,000m2  venue belongs to the Olympic Park, which was built for the 1936 Olympic Games.

The Final: (12 – 13 August 2017)  The final tournament takes place at the Lilli-Henoch-Sportfield, at the Anhalter Bahnhof.  A special arena will be created directly on the sport field to accommodate more than 2000 spectators, all who come to experience the best archery that the world has to offer!

TICKETS

The entrance for the Qualifications is free of charge. For the final tournament (12-13 August 2017), which takes place at the Lilli-Henoch-Sportfield (Anhalter Bahnhof), are daily and weekend tickets available.
